Auric Vessel - This vertical format visual-music work is a meditation on a metaphysical distillation process referred to in classical Alchemy as refinement. In spiritual alchemy distillation represents the cleansing of our rising consciousness to remove any lingering toxic or overly ego-centric traits, The central image of a luminous vessel in this film was prompted using generative ai. Subsequently this image formed the basis dozens of 4.5 second video loops were iterated using variations on the original prompt and then sorted and pieced together in a traditional film editing process. The musical materials include field recordings, Foley sounds, analog modular synthesis, digital electronic instruments and disparate vocal and string samples created using generative ai prompts. These elements were then mixed, layered and processed to create the final electro-acoustic score.
