Genesis in Noise

A short film discussing Stout’s work in noise based digital cinema. Excerpted sequences are taken from David’s SignalFire performances and Ziggurat/NoiseGen.01 and Transit/NoiseGen.02. These works were widely exhibit in the early 2000’s. 

Ziggurat/NoiseGen.01(2003)  & Transit/NoiseGen.02 (2003) are 2 video noise generated short films exploring audio video transcoding. Exhibitions have included; the ZKM sponsored Sound/Image in Mexico City, Ail - Artist in Labs DVD catalogue distribution, Zurich, Switzerland and Machinista festival of machine generative art – Glasgow Scotland / Machinista published DVD distribution (2004).
